About

Following the lead of his Wabanaki ancestors, Jason finds inspiratin for his pieces in nature and the designs of his Penobscot culture.  As a contemporary Wabanaki jeweler and metalsmith, he is breaking new ground in his adornments.  Recently, his pieces have been placed in permanent collections in museums, preserving them for future generations to enjoy.

Using the historical significance of metalsmithing as a backdrop, Jason engages in demonstrations and community discussions of various techniques used in his work.  Each piece is created from materials such as turquoise, quohog, deer antler and quartz crystal.  "I am honored to share my beautiful trend setting designs, which are rooted in the time-honored traditions of handcrafted elegance."

Jason maintains and honors his connection to the past and feels his pieces create a powerful reflection of Wabanaki history and culture.
