BIOGRAPHY
Sheila is an enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. Sheila joined the FPF staff in 2011. Sheila was employed for five years with First Nations Oweesta Corporation, a Native Community Development Financial Institution as office/payroll manager. She also served as executive assistant to the president at Oweesta and with the InterTribal Buffalo Cooperative.
Her office management skills bring valuable help to First Peoples Fund and have been well honed, thanks to administrative positions held with various non-profit organizations throughout her career. Sheila also served as regional program director for eight years with Childfund International, which allowed her to oversee local programming in a four-state Plains area. In addition to her work, Sheila has served on several non-profit boards of directors, allowing her to gain experience in management and budgets.
