BIOGRAPHY

Marian K. Bitsui is a member of the Diné (Navajo) tribe. Born and raised in Shiprock, NM, she has lived in Flagstaff, AZ since 2005. Mrs. Bitsui has worked in urban and rural Native American communities since 2003. Her experiences include grant writing, program management, community outreach, event planning, graphic design, branding, photography and social marketing. Mrs. Bitsui has previously held positions such as Communications Coordinator for the SAMHSA Tribal Technical and Training Assistance Center, Public Affairs Specialist for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Indian Affairs Office of Public Affair, and Project Administrative Coordinator at Chickasaw Nation Industries. She is currently the Director of Communications for Native American Food Sovereignty Alliance.
