Daniel Nanamkin

I empower and inspire my audience by sharing a variety of our cultural stories, songs, dance, language, and history combined with modern digital art, music, video, and imagery. I am a cultural education consultant and performance artist whose best skill would be storytelling and the many artistic forms of storytelling. With the combination of indigenous culture/arts mixed with modern digital media and performance theatrical arts, I am developing a performance that has gained excellent reviews in only its emergence. I utilize our tribal arts of dancing, regalia, singing, music, and Salish language and mix it together with stage lights, animal costumes, stage props and film/digital media, stuffed animals and music videos to tell our stories. I am a public speaker, and have completed a TED X talk as well performances nation wide/Hawaii and Canada.I recently studied as a creative teaching artist under the Washington State Teachers Artist Training Lab (TAT). I wish to add more stories, music and media to increase the professional quality of my presentation and performance by adding, more tribal language, songs, stories and increasing educational materials to every school.
