Taos Pueblo, Yaqui, Chicana

About

My name is Tsel'Moya Dah'Mah'ee aka Addelina Lucero. I am a Taos Pueblo/Yaqui/Chicana woman, mother, sister, auntie, grandmother, traditional farmer & seed saver, Indigenous food sovereignty educator/chef/advocate & practitioner, small business founder/entrepreneur, herbalist, natural product formulator and traditional medicine maker. I come from the small and very highly traditional community of Taos Pueblo which is known as the Northernmost Pueblo of the 19 Pueblos in New Mexico. My business, Dancing Butterfly Naturals, offers mentorship for Indigenous youth, passing down ancestral knowledge and fostering pride and connection to their plant medicine heritage. For over a decade, I have been creating small-batch skincare, hair care products, and medicines sourced from locally and ethically harvested plants, honoring my ancestral connection to plant medicine ways. I share this knowledge through several platforms: classes (online/in-person) for plant identification/processing/use and product formulations. Through tik-tok and Instagram videos sharing harvesting videos, via writings for various publications and programs for the USDA and other local platforms, talks for various groups, programs, nonprofits and Native education institutions. Each employee benefits from learning about my formulation processes, plant identification and use as well as small business acumen.
