Petrina Arnold

Petrina Arnold is a mother of six children and a grandmother of four. She is  Assiniboine from Ft. Belknap, Montana. At eight years old, her family moved l to Cloquet, MN, to the Fond du Lac reservation, and although she is enrolled in Ft. Belknap, she considers Fond du Lac her community.

Arnold is a porcupine quillwork artist and instructor of porcupine appliqué.  She was taught by a very well-known and established artist, her mother, Orvilla Longfox. Arnold’s mother was taught by her mother, and her mother before her, and so on. So what Arnold ‘teaches is an ancient art.’
