Born and raised in South Minneapolis which is where I currently reside. I am enrolled in the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. Professionally, I am a therapist but have always kept pottery in my life my life as a hobby. I really fell in love with ceramics in college during a hand building course down in Asheville, North Carolina. Since that time, I have taken various classes at community studios mostly in the evenings and on the weekends. For me it is a creative outlet that gives me space to connect to my body, mind, and spirit. Throughout my life, I have realized making intentional time for pottery has been so healing for me. I mainly create functional pieces for family and friends. It gives me great joy! Most recently, I joined the Minneapolis Clay Collective and share communal studio space in the Northeast Arts District of Minneapolis.
