I’m Kaley, an actor, writer, and comedian originally from North Carolina, born and raised in the middle of a tobacco field (okay, maybe not BORN in it). To some this environment may have felt limiting, but for me it created a spark. Growing up my two favorite pastimes were playing outside, diving deep into my imagination, and absorbing hours of the glow from my glorious television. I was obsessed with collecting VHS tapes and staying up late to sneak in a few forbidden moments of Saturday Night Live. At home I was always creating skits and characters. School was a different story. I was selectively mute until a fateful improv game in tenth grade theatre class. Boom! It finally happened. I overcame my fears and the best part? I got laughs. My path instantly changed and I followed it to a theatre degree from Campbell University. I loved acting but finding roles that I resonated with were few and far between. In the chaos of late 2020 I was thrilled to be awarded a scholarship through Saturday Night Live and the PIT where I fell in love with writing and performing my original comedy. In 2023 I scored a coveted Sesame Workshop writing fellowship. In July 2024 I made the big move to NYC to pursue my dreams of performing and writing for film and television. It’s been an exciting journey thus far, but I’m still that little Native girl looking for my place to shine in the world.
