Gerald Bruce Miller (Subiyay)

I have a constantly growing contingent of friends and associates that have gone through my counseling programs and remain to this day drug and alcohol free. In the past thirty years I have worked with literally thousands of people in many capacities of the cultural arts. They have rebuilt their own cultural pride through my classes and as a result have strengthened and continued their own personal resilience. I look upon that as healing.For the past thirty years of my life I have given my all to my community. I have given it freely. Because of health problems I don’t know how much time I have left. But as the last speaker of my language I plan to begin community tuwaduqutSid language classes on our reservation for as long as I am able.
