Project Description:
James will create a beaded horse saddle and horse mask and then use the horse regalia in presentations to community venues such as colleges, conferences, art shows, pow-wows and parades. His presentation serves to educate, preserve and revive Lakota/Dakota culture through arts, specifically horse regalia.

Project Description:
Pete is producing a ten to fifteen minute film featuring his work and lifestyle as a traditional Salish Carver. Segments will include the cedar harvesting process and salmon fishing. The film will serve as a teaching tool, used in presentations to raise funds for a feature length film.

Project Description:
Lois, being a weaver for most of her life, is crossing over to printmaking. Through the guidance from two master printmakers, Lois has identified and will purchase an etching press. Her repurposed studio will welcome the press with a community ceremony to include a feast and giveaway. The first prints to emerge from One Aleut Press will be donated to a charitable organization.

Bonnie's has been in the machine quilting business for the past 15+ years and is excited about her new adventure in teaching her art of sewing to others.
