Introducing the 2025 First Peoples Fund Native Performing Arts Fellows and Production Grantees!
We are thrilled to announce the exceptional individuals chosen for this year's inaugural cohort of Native Performing Art Fellows and Production Grantees. First Peoples Fund’s Native Performing Arts (NPA) is designed to support Native performing artists—emerging and established—in developing and enhancing their artistic skills and knowledge. The program strives to provide more equitable access to the resources they need to enhance their creations and careers. This includes funding, mentoring, financial capability, and business development training aligned with their cultural values.
“This inaugural cohort of NPA grantees and fellows showcases the incredible diversity of creativity and expression in Indian Country. As born storytellers and performers, these artists exemplify our communities' rich traditions and brilliance.”
Justin Kíí Huenemann (Diné), President and CEO of First Peoples Fund, shares his enthusiasm for FPF’s new Native Performing Arts program, “We’re witnessing a remarkable surge in Native performing arts and productions across the country—a vibrant continuation of our traditions of storytelling, music, dance, and performance. We’re thrilled to launch our first dedicated funding to support Native performing artists and their work.” He adds, “This inaugural cohort of NPA grantees and fellows showcases the incredible diversity of creativity and expression in Indian Country. As born storytellers and performers, these artists exemplify our communities' rich traditions and brilliance.”
